Biography

Formerly connected with the PCV, Buntine was received as a student by the PCEA on November 5, 1880. He supplied at Aberdeen 1881-82 but a call by the congregation did not proceed due to the Synod dispute. His studies were completed under Rev Peter MacPherson, and he was ordained February 6, 1883 and appointed to the Namoi. He was inducted to this charge at Boggabri on August 30, 1884. Early in 1887 he joined the PCNSW with his congregation, resigned the charge within the year and served at Narrandera 1889-91, Broken Hill 891-94, Port Macquarie 1894-1901, St Marys and Rupertswood 1901-05, Armidale 1901-1925; died July 9, 1925.
